PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Launch Problems
Updated: Nov 16, 2020

We all know how it usually goes. New consoles come out and there is all kinds of craziness surrounding the beautiful new game systems. Looking back on previous launches, we are able to see that they were no different then the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S launch. Online websites going out of stock within seconds and customers reporting that there devices are not working properly or at all.
Scalpers are not some new, as you may have already heard, this console launch has been plagued with scalpers.

The very second that these consoles were put up for sale, is the moment that scalpers got their hands on hundreds of units. These are then sold on websites such as Ebay for hundreds of dollars above the MSRP value. Our hope was that this would not become a reality again, but it has and it is a real bummer for everyone who wanted one on launch day.
As for the hardware issues with this console launch, there have been countless complaints and bricking of consoles reported. We cannot say if these claims are all true, but it is probably safe to assume that waiting out this launch would be for the best.
The Xbox launch was probably the rockiest of the two. There was even someone who posted the console "smoking", but this just ended up being vape juice being blown up through the system. However, there has been a problem with the console booting up. Some users are claiming that it has been bricked or is just broken. Microsoft has pushed back with these claims, but it is still a damaging image for the xbox launch. Do not worry, Microsoft is surely going to either push out an update on this issue or shed some light on it.
Then there is the PS5 and the tiny amount of storage that comes with your new console. This console will only have about 667 GB of free storage. Remember, this is a launch console, so it is safe to assume that it will most likely have versions with even more storage. The reason that this is a little concerning is that gamers will have to go out and purchase external storage if they are in need of more space. This small amount of storage was probably given us in order to keep the price down, but it is still a bummer if you have a lot of games. The final sad part about this console is that it has reports of bricking. See this post from Tom's Guide.
These alarming issues will be solved eventually, so just remember that when you go to buy one these gaming systems. Also, keep in mind that it is always a good idea to wait out a console launch. As you have seen and read, there are some many things that need to be ironed out for both Xbox and Playstation.
Here are some storage upgrades for both consoles:
Xbox Series X/S:
PS5:

Also, some of you may want to consider getting a gaming monitor or TV in the near future since the next gen console support higher frame rates and you will need a monitor that supports those frame rates. More on this topic later.
